Sociology

The Sociology Study Program is a social science discipline that scientifically and critically studies the structure, interaction, behavior, and development of society, including social groups, institutions, and various contemporary social phenomena or problems. This study equips students with strong social analysis skills—both through qualitative methods (observation, interviews) and quantitative methods (statistics)—to understand the root of problems and the dynamics of change, thus preparing graduates to contribute to social planning, research, policy formulation, community empowerment, or as analysts in survey institutions and private companies.

To cultivate social analysts capable of helping solve community social problems.
  • To teach social theory and research methodology.
  • To conduct research on social change.
